When the Government of India banned 267 Chinese apps in 2020, it was felt that they went forever. But by 2025, these apps have returned again in new names, new avatars. At least 36 such apps are re -available on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, which were banned earlier. Some of them only changed the name, while some made a comeback by showing change in ownership.

Which apps are making return?

Many popular apps are available for again download. These include

Xender (now “Xender: File Share, Share Music”)
Mangotv (Back without change)
Youku (Chinese Netflix)

How are these apps in India?

Now these apps are listed in India, not directly from China, but in the names of companies from other countries. They have returned to stores by showing registration at places like Singapore, Vietnam, South Korea, Seychelles, Japan and Bangladesh.
