Artificial Intelligence (AI) is good news for people who are afraid of going to large scale jobs on a large scale. By the year 2027, there will be 23 lakh job opportunities in the AI region in the country. It is special that only 12 lakh talents will be available to fill these posts. That is, there will be a shortage of about one million professionals in this area in the next two years. To bridge this difference, people have to be trained again on a large scale.
This assessment has been revealed by research conducted globally by Ben & Company. In the year 2025, the country’s AI Pratibha Pool will be 9,40,000, which was 8,00,000 lakhs last year. But during this time, 15 lakh AI professionals will be required to work in the market, which can also go up to 20 lakhs. Thus, this demand can be doubled by AI trained skilled professionals. Even in the year 2026, only the number of AI trained employees in the country will be 10.8 lakh, but the demand is estimated to be almost double the increase in 21.6 lakhs.
“India has a great opportunity to strengthen its position as a global AI talent hub,” says Saikat Banerjee, a partner and lead in Ben & Company. Here the total jobs in the AI region are expected to be more than one and a half to one and a half to double. Therefore, the biggest challenge to meet emerging technical needs is to re -training and skill development of the existing workforce.
