US Finance Minister Scott Basunt said on Monday that many big business partners of the US have made very good proposals to avoid the fees and possibly the trade agreement with India will be signed.
Basunt told CNBC, “I estimate that India will be in the first countries, with which we will sign the trade agreement.” He said that America is also seriously interacted with Japan and discussion with other Asian business partners is also in a positive direction.
Basunt said, ‘Vice President Vance was in India last week. I mentioned that talks with the Republic of Korea have been very good, and I think we have held some very concrete talks with Japanese colleagues. ‘ Basunt said that the first such trade agreement could be this week or next week. It is a positive step by China to retaliate on some American goods. This shows that China wants to reduce business tension with America. The US has avoided increasing stress by banning those goods.
Basunt said that President Donald Trump would seriously be involved in the specific trade agreement with 15 to 18 important business partners, but it would be important to reach the theoretically to reach the agreement soon. Asked if he would talk to the Finance Minister of China, so that the talks between the two economies can be accelerated, Basunt said that we will see what is happening in China. This is important. I think China will not tolerate this. In such a situation, one day they talk to me. Prior to this, he told CNBC that ‘the government is in touch with China from all sides’. He emphasized that reducing stress is up to China, as China sells 5 times more goods than imports to America.
