Ericsson, Volvo Group and Bharti Airtel announced their research participation on Monday to explore the possibility of Expected Reality (XR), Digital Twin Technologies and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the manufacturing sector. Industrial Metavors applications will be detected in this research work conducted at the Volvo Group’s factory and Volvo Group’s Research Center in Bangalore.
This participation will include interaction and cooperation of human off machine. These are steps that will mix the traditional and digital world. The experience gained from this research partnership will be able to increase efficiency in the manufacturing sector and promote innovation.
Digital twin techniques combine data from sensors, simulation and machine learning to analyze the performance, estimate failures and adapt operations by creating a virtual replica of the physical system. It is counted by telecom companies as a major area of earnings for 5G services.
The initiative will pay attention to the use and exploration of Airtel’s 5G advanced network as the basis of industrial XR applications.
