At the same time, the Samajwadi Party (SP) and the Congress accused the state government of hiding the number of dead in the stampede.
Opposition parties including SP also questioned the number of devotees. But the government quoted more than 3,000 cameras, drones and 60,000 employees, including 1,800 AI cameras, to tell the correct number of devotees.
