Orders start to decrease from America – Orders Started Decreasing from America

Many US buyers are currently waiting for the situation to be clear before the US has applied equal fees. Exporters say that this has not only reduced the new order flow but existing orders are also being postponed. This cautious attitude is quite important because America is the largest export market for India. During the financial year 2025, during April to February, the US was exported to $ 76.4 billion items, which is about 20 per cent of the country’s total exports.

Exporters said that orders from Western European countries have also been affected as these countries also have to face the impact of European Union stress with the US. Ajay Sahai, Director General and CEO of Fio, an organization of Indian exporters, said that the order of the order has stopped at the moment as American buyers are waiting for uncertainty about the implementation of equal fees and waiting for the situation to be clear. The US administration has not yet clarified how the equal fee will be calculated and how it will be implemented. In such a situation, it has become difficult for all other countries and businessmen including India to make a concrete strategy to deal with it.

Sahai said, ‘It is not yet clear whether the burden of additional fees will be laid on the customers or the exporters/importers themselves will bear its burden. All these things need to be considered and only then a decision will be taken. The consignment of goods has been asked to stop at the moment as the goods sent by sea route will reach America only after April 2 and hence the additional fees of America will be applicable to it.

Chandima Chatterjee, general secretary of the Indian Textile Industry Confederation, said that some customers have asked to stop the shipment at the moment. But there is no immediate risk of decreasing order. Pharmacil Director General Raja Bhanu hoped that the orders given earlier would be completed. He said, ‘There has been no major change yet. Future plans will be decided on the basis of the announcement.
