Shashi tharoor news: On Wednesday (March 19), the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) described the appreciation of the government’s stand by Congress leader Shashi Tharoor over the Russian-Ukraine war on the Russian-Ukraine war. Tharoor had said on Tuesday (March 18) that opposing India’s attitude after the Russia-Ukraine war has proved to be embarrassed for him. He also said that due to the policy adopted by the Government of India, the country is now in a position where it can play a role for permanent peace.
When Russia attacked Ukraine, Tharoor criticized India’s stance. Moscow was asked to condemn this move. Shashi Tharoor, MP from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat in Kerala, justified India’s attitude to India’s attitude on the Russia-Ukraine war issue and said on Wednesday that he expressed his opinion as an Indian. He does not see any politics in this.
According to PTI, after a ruckus over the statement, he said in Delhi on Wednesday, “I spoke as an Indian on the matter. I don’t see any politics in it.” Tharoor said that this is not a political subject, but he did not explain it in much detail.

Tharoor said on Tuesday that under the policy adopted by India, Prime Minister Modi can embrace both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonski.
During a session in ‘Raisina Dialogue’, former Minister of State for External Affairs Tharoor said, “I am still trying to end embarrassment because I criticized India’s stand in February 2022 during parliamentary discussion.”

Former Union Minister and Lok Sabha member Ravi Shankar Prasad described Tharoor’s confession for criticism of the government for not speaking against the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Prasad said that the Modi government takes such decisions which are good for India.
He said, “It would be good if other Congress leaders accept it, it will be good if Shashi Tharoor has accepted it.” At the same time, BJP MP and National Spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi said that the government’s diplomatic skills are clear to all those who understand foreign affairs and Modi met the presidents of both warning countries and received the same warm response from both.
He said that under the leadership of PM Modi, there has been a small change in India’s diplomacy, as it has become multi-aligned in its stand. Trivedi said, “India is emerging as a friend of the world and the same has been revealed by the senior Congress leader.”
Meanwhile, the BJP leadership in Kerala appreciated the stance in exchange for Tharoor, saying that his honesty in praising Prime Minister Modi’s diplomacy is commendable. BJP state president K.K. Surendran said that he has always praised the clarism of the Congress MP. He said that Thiruvananthapuram MP Tharoor is looking at India’s global uplift under the leadership of PM Modi and is really a new approach.
