They tared, really- I mean, they at least don’t look dead-ayed, and come closer to appearance to, say, dobby in Harry potterBut they still looked just Off, The only thing that saves the dwarfs is the voice cast, who all really capture the endearing energy of the beloved magical creatures. The film even tries to give them a more involved role in granting them fantastical abilitys connected to the gemstones they mine, but it doesn due explore it enough to make sense Thread, to say the least.
