India richest and poost sals: A recent study by the Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) and National Election Watch (NEW) has found that Andhra Pradesh has the richest MLA (member of the Legislative Assembly) in India. This is followed by the number of Karnataka, where most billionaire MLAs live. Research investigated the affidavit of 4,092 existing MLAs from 28 states and three union territories, which has revealed this.

According to the report, the average assets per MLA in Andhra Pradesh are Rs 65.07 crore. It is the richest state in terms of property kept by legislators. Karnataka ranks second with an average of Rs 63.58 crore per MLA. After this, Maharashtra is at number three with Rs 43.44 crore. The all-India average of the property of the legislators is Rs 17.92 crore.

Which state has the poorest MLA?

According to the report, MLAs from Tripura and West Bengal have the lowest assets. 60 MLAs of Tripura have a total of Rs 90 crore. After that 59 MLAs of Manipur have Rs 222 crore and 30 MLAs from Puducherry have Rs 297 crore. On the other hand, the report states that Karnataka has the highest billionaire MLAs. The assets of 31 (14%) MLAs out of 223 here are more than Rs 100 crore. Andhra Pradesh has 27 billionaire MLAs (16%). While Maharashtra has 18 (6%). There are other states with billionaires.

Minimum average assets per MLA

– Tripura: Rs 1.51 crore (60 MLAs)

– West Bengal: Rs 2.80 crore (293 MLAs)

– Kerala: Rs 3.13 crore (134 MLAs)

– Telangana: 7 MLAs (6%)

– Haryana: 5 MLAs (6%)

– Arunachal Pradesh: 3 MLAs (5%)

– Delhi: 3 MLAs (4%)

Talking about the parties, the number of BJP MLAs is the highest. But the average assets of Telugu Desam Party (TDP) MLAs have the highest assets.

The party-wise total assets of legislators are as follows:-

– BJP: Rs 26,270 crore (1,653 MLA)

– Congress: Rs 17,357 crore (646 MLAs)

– TDP: Rs 9,108 crore (134 MLAs)

– Independent: Rs 2,388 crore (64 MLAs)

– Shiv Sena: Rs 1,758 crore (59 MLAs)

– DMK: Rs 1,675 crore (132 MLAs)

The average property per MLA is as follows:-

– TDP: Rs 67.97 crore

– Shiv Sena: Rs 29.81 crore

– Congress: 26.86 crore rupees

– BJP: Rs 15.89 crore

– AAP: 7.33 crore rupees

– TMC: Rs 3.73 crore

India’s richest MLA

Among the richest legislators in the country is Parag Shah of BJP from Ghatkopar East in Mumbai. His assets are around Rs 3,400 crore. He is followed by Congress leader DK Shivkumar, MLA from Kanakpura in Karnataka. His assets are more than Rs 1,413 crore. Among other major rich MLAs, N. Chandrababu Naidu (TDP chief and CM of Andhra Pradesh): Rs 931 crore, Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy (former Chief Minister of Andhra, YSRCP): 757 crore is included.

The assets of 4,092 existing MLAs of India are Rs 73,348 crore. It is more than the joint annual budget of Nagaland (Rs 23,086 crore), Tripura (Rs 26,892 crore) and Meghalaya (Rs 22,022 crore) for 2023-24. 1,653 MLAs of the Bharatiya Janata Party have a total of Rs 26,270 crore. It is more than the joint annual budget of Sikkim, Nagaland and Meghalaya.
