Constant checking campaign in Darbhanga

The challan of hundreds of people is being cut daily. According to the report, challans ranging from Rs 1.50 lakh to Rs 2 are being deducted daily in the district. Gaurav further informed that checking is being done in Darbhanga due to the continuous ignoring of traffic rules. A policeman’s challan has also been cut. The rule is the same for everyone, whether they are policemen or press people or common people. Whoever does not follow the traffic rules, action will be taken against the law.

Sikh community gets discount on not wearing helmets

There is also a class in the country that has helmets or not. The traffic police does not cut their challan. Section 129 of the Motor Vehicle Act states that those who belong to the Sikh community. Only they have been given freedom not to wear helmets. But a condition has also been added to it. It states that people who are wearing a turban in the Sikh community have the freedom not to wear helmets.

The rule is that if the turban is wearing a motorcycle or scooter, the challan will not be deducted only if not wearing a helmet. This rule is made to respect the religious rights of the Sikh community. At the same time, helmet is not necessary for children below 4 years of age. But helmets are very important for children over 4 years of age.
